Commercial standards
Advertising & Sponsorship Policy.
The standards governing commercial submissions, approvals, payments, scheduling, disclosure, and editorial independence.
Last updated: September 15, 2026
Approval comes before payment
Commercial submissions remain pending until Sunday Dinner reviews the business, claims, creative, destination, context, dates, and inventory. Submission and payment do not create publication rights. We may reject or remove unlawful, deceptive, misleading, hateful, harassing, unsupported, inappropriate, or materially incompatible material.
Advertiser responsibilities
Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for truthful claims and must have rights to every submitted logo, image, trademark, link, and creative element. Destination pages must be secure, functional, and consistent with the approved submission.
Inventory, scheduling, and creative
Approved orders identify the property, placement, start date, end date, duration, creative, and whether inventory is exclusive or rotating. Creative changes require review. Technical outages may require a reasonable make-good or adjusted schedule; no particular number of clicks, conversions, or business outcomes is guaranteed.
Payment, cancellation, and refunds
Payment is requested only after approval and pricing confirmation. Stripe processes payments. Cancellation, refund, rescheduling, and removal decisions depend on the approved order, work already performed, reserved inventory, policy compliance, and applicable law.
Sponsorship and editorial independence
Sponsorship is clearly disclosed. Commercial partners do not approve story subjects, sources, research, headlines, conclusions, corrections, or editorial scheduling. The advertiser can buy a seat at the table; they cannot decide what the table talks about.
