Disagreement belongs here. Abuse does not.
Sunday Dinner makes room for criticism, hard questions, unpopular viewpoints, and honest disagreement while protecting people from threats, harassment, doxxing, impersonation, scams, and targeted abuse.
What participation is for
Comments exist to continue the conversation: question evidence, add lived experience, identify missing context, criticize an argument, or disagree with the writer, publication, or another reader.
What is welcome
Strong disagreement, unpopular viewpoints, respectful criticism, requests for evidence, and challenges to conclusions are welcome. Disagreement is not itself a moderation violation.
What is prohibited
Direct threats, targeted harassment, slurs aimed at people or groups, doxxing, impersonation, malicious links, scams, spam, flooding, and repeated disruption are prohibited.
How moderation works
Verified reader accounts are required. First-time and higher-risk comments may be reviewed before publication. Automation may stop obvious spam, flooding, scams, malicious links, explicit threats, and clear doxxing. Ambiguous language and contextual disputes are held for human review.
Reports and consequences
Readers may report comments. Sunday Dinner may approve, hold, remove, restore, warn, restrict, suspend, or ban accounts. Consequential penalties maintain an internal audit trail. Affected readers may request review by emailing editor@sundaydinnermedia.com.
Closed conversations and privacy
Comments may be closed when moderation cannot be responsibly sustained, a conversation becomes persistently abusive, or safety and legal concerns require it. Never publish another person’s private address, contact information, financial information, or identifying records.
